There are a lot of things I could write about. But right now all I want to say is that the noise Japanese people make in disbelief sounds so much like a car speeding towards the building I don't know what to do with myself. You know the one. That rising intonation noise in the throat that American kids make when they're playing racecar. That's a normal, if not critical element of Japanese communication.
